Additional Info:

The watercolor process in this video resembles a quick sketch of a comic character. This is by no means a finished photographic rendering (as I don't believe watercolor should be used for such a method anyway). Materials such as acrylic and oil that permit multiple layers, glazes, and passes are more suited to near photographic reproduction, where watercolor is best used to explore color harmonies and experiment with "happy accidents" from water blending.

Be sure to get a thick watercolor paper that has some cotton in its construction. This series uses Strathmore 300 but there are much nicer brands available such as Arches Hot and Cold Press Watercolor papers. They do run expensive so plan before you paint!

I hope you enjoy this process, and please let me know on any of my socials if you have feedback or would like to see additional information.
